Minimum cut off in JEE Mains is expected to touch 74 marks, so you will be very lucky if you get any college via JEE Mains. Your class 12 percentage is good but it is not the only criteria through which admission is granted in engineering colleges. Regards.

Each institute is authorised for certain intake in each branch by AICTE. No institute can admit students beyond this. Hence lateral entry directly into second year is not guaranteed guaranteed by SRM & its not announced publicly also. I am attaching a link where you can see it.

Hello Naveenkumar,
SRM does not admit students through lateral entry as a matter of rule. It's vacancy based. You need to contact SRM immediately to know the status and then take steps accordingly. Refer attached link also: http://www.srmuniv.ac.in/admission-india/Eligibility/Engineering-and-Technology.

Hello Neha,
There are no reservations based on caste in Sastra University. You have good chances of getting a seat at Sastra. But, as the competition is too high, you may or may not get the course you wish to. Try your chances at the counselling.
All the best.
