You need 65% in 12th with either maths/accounts and English. If you are very sure of going for this course, you may start right after 12th. I would suggest you to go through the complete course structure before making any decision as that will give you more clarity about it.

As per the SPSU Prospectus the admission in M.Tech courses are done through the SPSAT entrance exam. Hence the GATE stipend is not applicable here.

The course for IT and CSE is not very different usually in any college and since IIITA is one of the premier institutes in India, its IT course is considered at par with the CSE course of good colleges with equally good placements and opportunities.
