While in first year, some students think they can easily do the exam and score well. But for scoring good, you have to study. Not that 3-4 hours everyday, even half an hour or an hour can work for scoring good. Besides studying, you can engage yourself in different sports activities in the university. Firstly, the students (freshers) should explore the Campus and that's not an easy task as the campus is very big. In the internals, the total marks consists of different things which have different weightage. If the student fails to do so, he would get failed in that subject and has to reappear for that subject next year. If the student gets a score of 35-40, then he would get grace marks of maximum 5 marks ( only in 1 subject ) so that his marks in internal reaches 40. If the score is less than 35, then he would be considered failed in that subject and has to re-appear for that.

CGPA or Cumulative Grade Point Average is the final grade given to the student for a semester. Each subject has its own Credit hours ( ex. Fundamentals of Agronomy- AGRON 101 has credit hours 3+1. This means in a week there will be three theory classes and one practical class of that particular class. ). Suppose a condition in which there are three subjects ( in actual these subjects are not in same semester)- AGRON 101, SOILS 101 and STAT 102 and the credit hours for these subjects is 3+1, 2+1 and 1+1 respectively. Assume a student scores 80+70 marks in AGRON 101 ( External + Internal), 75+80 in SOILS 101 and 60+ 70 in STATS 102. Now for AGRON 101, the total marks would be calculated as - (80 x 3) + (70 x 1) = 310 For SOILS 101, the total marks would be - (75 x 2) + (80 x 1) = 230 For STATS 102, the total marks would be - (60 x 1) + (70 x 1) = 130 Now, the total marks of individual subjects will be summed up and it will be divided by the total credit hours (sum of credit hours of all the subjects) as, (310 + 230 + 130 )/ (3+1+2+1+1+1) I. e. 670/9 = 74.4 Now this will be divided by 10. The final answer be your CGPA I. e. 7.44. (Please ignore the calculation mistake if present). .

Hostel is one of the things kept in mind while selecting a university. And the hostel facilities are pretty good in CCSHAU. One gets a room on triple sharing basis, sometimes double sharing if room is small, and sometimes quad sharing if because of any reason the rooms are less ( very less chances ). The rooms are good and airy. Each person is provided a separate almirah. Desks and Chairs are also provided for studying. B.Ed Cots are also provided but you have to get your own mattresses. Each room has a balcony. Washrooms are also clean. Geysers are available in winter seasons. Water Coolers are also provided. In summers you can get your cooler to get rid of the scorching heat. The food in the mess is also good. Canteen is also there for each hostel. Cleanliness is also maintained in the hostel.
