Though Chemical Engg is more preferred branch over metallurgy and materials also options for chemical engg is more that MME but NITs in question here - Surathkal, Trichy & Warangal are top 3 NITs among all others across the country.
Following was M.M.E placement percentage in these 3 colleges in 2014:
NIT Surathkal - 84.85% (28 out of 33 students)
NIT Trichy - 78.90%
NIT Warangal - 85.97 (49 out of 57 students)
NIT Nagpur Chemical Engg placement percentage - Was less than 45% in 2013 (41 out of 92 to be precise)
Do proper research on the net before selecting bot the branch. Also try to speak to ex students of these institutes. Also you can ask to more Shiksha expert on the matter.

Basic eligibility criteria and admission procedure for B.Sc.in Visual Communication in Loyola College, Chennai is:
Eligibility:
10+2 and Entrance Test will be conducted by the Institute.
Admission Procedure:
The sale of Application forms will be in the month of May. The filled-in application for all UG courses, along with the required enclosures should reach the College Office within Ten Days from the date of publication of the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Examination results.
The provisionally selected candidate will have to present himself/ herself along with the parents for interview with the Principal on the date mentioned in the intimation letter without fail.
