Hi Neeharika,
Though Chemical Engg is more preferred branch over metallurgy and materials also options for chemical engg is more that MME but NITs in question here - Surathkal, Trichy & Warangal are top 3 NITs among all others across the country.
Following was M.M.E placement percentage in these 3 colleges in 2014:
NIT Surathkal - 84.85% (28 out of 33 students)
NIT Trichy - 78.90%
NIT Warangal - 85.97 (49 out of 57 students)
NIT Nagpur Chemical Engg placement percentage - Was less than 45% in 2013 (41 out of 92 to be precise)
