Both the branches have good career growth. Mechanical will be more inclined to manufacturing, operations and supply chain. Electrical will be related to power generation and transmission industries. Electrical will also include subjects from electronics and computer science. PSUs in India do recruit students from electrical and mechanical based on there GATE scores. At the end it's individuals interest to choose the branch.

90 percentile in XAT should be a safe bet to get into IRMA. Since XAT is not the only step in the admission process, the said percentile secures the possibilities of clearing the admission process.

5.5 band is generally not accepted. You need to score 6 band or more. Please write to the colleges and also check if you meet the academic requirements which are very important.

If that particular college asks JEE Mains score for admission then you need to crack JEE Mains to get into that particular private college. It depends on students opting for that college whether 70% is fine to get into it or not.

B.Com is much better than BBA because after B.Com you can opt different lines like banking preparation, insurance accountant, etc. But, after BBA only one thing is left and that's MBA. By the way, you can do MBA after B.Com also.

Unfortunately, no. You will have to appear in MH-CET to get admission. COEP is a premier engineering college of Maharashtra, hence you should try to be in top 20 percentile in CET to have a go at admission.
