The applicants must have Mathematics as their distinct subject in their Higher Secondary Examination. However, if any of the candidate have not studied mathematics as their distinct subject, he can register for both MTE-03 and CIC during the first semester of the BCA course of the IGNOU or other institutes/colleges having such arrangement.

If u are a student of ece, then u give ur gate exam in ece, it will be easier for u. Based upon gate score card in ece, you can take admission in m.tech cse, no problem. If you want to give gate in cse, you can appear no pbm, but previous option is better.
