Hi Farhat,
Internship in any field is very crucial for a good head start. Many times students get absorbed in the same companies. This is true for media companies as well. Many newspapers and TV channels encourage interns and also give them research projects.
I would say that Mumbai is the hub of Media. But still, for getting an internship in a good organization, you need to have strong base and be ready to put in a lot of hard work.
Getting an internship in a good news channel as a Journalist can be hard. I would suggest to start with whatever you get and not be too choosy.
Thanks

Would completely agree with what Aneeket has mentioned. Check for Exe MBA from Top Indian Univ or if finances would allow, then an international MBA from good univ in countries like UK or US. In the UK, for qualified people, there are ample opportunities for tier 1 visa under various sub categories. You can consult a good overseas consultant to check on options for UK studies
