Sorry to hear about your current scenario. But it is good that you realized your mistake.
Anyways, there are lot of courses and jobs in India; so i will suggest you to relook into your decision of moving abroad as of now.
You can try some job in Tourism industry as you are comfortable with Italian language.
Brief me about the kind of job you want to do/ or what were you doing post 2008; I will be in a better position to assess and suggest you post that.
