Hi,
Every college is having a quota for OBC category and for a sportsperson. They also offer good fee concession (some have 100% tuition fee waiver off). You have to check the college website for this as every college has different provisions.

Hello Akshay,
With a score of just under 150, you are in that critical zone, where a lot depends on how others have performed. You may get admission in one of the NIT's but perhaps in a branch which you don't want.

Check for your eligibility in taking up engineering for computer Science or information Science branches; Bachelor of computer applications or Bachelor of Science in IT and computer Science are other 2 relevant areas. As far as low marks is concerned, check what is the cut off for each of the areas of study and if you fit in there. Check for colleges as the cut off might vary too.

Commerce and science are the two broad categories. In commerce, you can go for arts/ design, business, finance and banking. In science, you have engineering and medical. These are the traditional streams students choose. Some new streams are also in demand nowadays like bio- tech, nanotechnology, agriculture and genetic. Research-oriented students can go for KVPY and get into institutes like IISC, IISER, etc. Commerce students can also go for CA. Hello Gaurav,
With just 50 out of possible 360 marks, I don't think that you have any reasonable chance in any government college. Perhaps some private college accepting JEE Mains seems to be the only chance.

For MMS, your profile, i.e. past academic scores, work-ex and extra-curricular achievements, doesn't matter at all for the colleges. If you clear the necessary cut-off of a particular college, you're eligible for taking admission in it. The cutoff for Chetana MMS is generally around 95 percentile, though confirm it with any current student.
P.S. Your profile is considered only for the PGDM programs.
