Bachelor In Audiology And Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) is a full-time four-year course including one year of internship. Throughout the course, the emphasis is on the development of clinical and research skills. For practical orientation and training, students are posted in various departments of School of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology.
The syllabus and the training pattern are in accordance with the recommendations of the Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi. The Course has an integrated inter disciplinary content with relevant aspects of anatomy, physiology, otorhinolaryngology, pediatrics, neurology, acoustics and electronics, linguistics, psychology, statistics and research method. In the fourth year, the students are posted at various hospitals, institutions and specialized centers for internship.
For admission to BASLP course, the candidate should have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology or mathematics & English individually and must have obtained 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology or mathematics taken together at the qualifying examination i.e. H.S.C./10+2 or equivalent. Mode of Selection : Merit list will be prepared according to the total marks obtained in higher secondary. In case of equal marks in merit list preference will be given to the candidates of current academic year and then to the candidate who score more marks in Mathematics/Biology/Computer Science.
