That depends on the score you are having. If your score is too low experience wont count.but experience does count if mark is above average, irrespective of the category you belong to.

54% is too low a score to secure a seat in a reputed college and course.
I suggest either you fill the improvement exam or choose to re-appear your 12th so that you may set a firm foundation and then decide what course and curriculum you are interested in. Since your 12th grade results are crucial and are considered almost everywhere. Alternately, you may choose to pursue a correspondence programme.

Ith at least 55 percent marks, with a Bachelors degree/ equivalent qualification with at-least 50 percent marks obtained after a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent.
and comepetive exam to enter in any college. The cut offs depend on college. Jaipuria gives u personality enhancement, mentorship programes , etc. U need to give competitive exam like cat mat cmat cet atma etc.
