For instance, if your son has not written the JEE Main or has a rank beyond the range mentioned above, getting admission through this channel would almost be impossible.

Based on these factors one may have to consider to opt for other standard engineering institution where the cutoffs might be comparatively low, or to go for the related engineering disciplines where the competition must be lesser.
