It is quite difficult to predict the chances of getting seat in IIST, Thiruvananthapuram based on JEE Advanced rank. Last year the cut off rank (IIST UG ADMISSION-RANK) is as follows for OBC category

• Aerospace Engineering: 473
• Electronics and Communication  : 511
• B.Tech. + Master of Science/Master of Technology: 521

And here is the Closing Percentage of JEE Advanced 2020 marks.

• Aerospace Engineering: 21.72 %
• Electronics and Communication  : 21.46%
• B.Tech. + Master of Science/Master of Technology: 21.21%

Each year the maximum marks for JEE Advanced changes so does the cut off. You will have decent chances of getting seat if your total score in JEE Advanced is in between 21-25% of total score.

Hostel: The Central University of Gujarat provides a small amount of dorm space for both men and women. The hostels are assigned based on first come, first served. According to university regulations, the hostel costs are set. In the city of Gandhinagar, private lodging on a shared basis is offered at affordable prices.

Library: With regard to the university's research demands and course material, the Central Library offers a sizable collection of resources. The Library has over 30,000 books in its collection and subscribes to over 66 print journals and periodicals in addition to over 8000 e-journals, thus it is expanding both in terms of range and depth. The Central Universities Act of 2009, which founded the institution in 2007, was passed by the Indian Parliament. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has granted recognition to the university. The Central University of Gujarat, often known as CUG, received a "B+" mark from NAAC for accreditation. Yes, VIT Vellore has collaborated with some domestic and international universities. As part of their international relations initiatives, the collaborations include partnerships with establishments such as California State University, Los Angeles, George Washington University in the USA, University of Stuttgart in Germany, Dublin City University in Ireland, and many more. The recognised university has MOUs with several organizations and establishments. Among them are Arba Minch University, Pentecost University Collge (PUC), University for Development Studies (UDS), University of Botswana, Gaborone, University of Rwanda, Vaal University of Technology, and others. 

Scholarships are a type of financial aid that VIT Vellore provides to students. It is well known that the Deemed University provides students with Endowment Awards. A few of them are the Prime Minister's Scholarship Programme for Assam Rifles and Central Armed Police Forces, the Merit Awards, the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students, the VITEEE Scholarship awarded under the "GV School Development Programme" (GVSDP), the Smt. Rajeswari Viswanathan Memorial Scholarship (Financial Assistance to Deserving Students), and others. VIT Vellore's campus is very huge as it is spread across 372 acres. The campus has state-of-the-art labs and a central library. The library has a collection of over 2.4 Lacs books. All the classrooms are fully equipped with smart boards and installed with an IT system. Hostels have single-person rooms to six-bed rooms at Vellore Institute of Technology. Out of these, 18 hostels are for boys and six for girls. These hostels can accommodate over 22,000 students. Facilities such as AC and non-AC single and shared rooms, 24*7 water and power supply, in-house residential counsellors, wardens, supervisors, mess, café, and round-the-day security among others are offered at the campus.

Vellore Institute of Technology offers 66 UG, 58 PG, 15 integrated and two each of Research and M.Tech (Industrial) courses across multiple streams. The top courses of the institute, include BTech, MTech, MBA, etc. Candidates after completing Class 12 can apply for UG courses and graduation is necessary to apply for the PG courses. Eligible aspirants can apply for VIT admission. The institute conducts VITEEE for BTech admission,  VITMEE for M.Tech and VITREE for PhD admission. Other entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, NATA, etc., are accepted for providing admission to specific courses. Selected candidates are called for further selection rounds. After completion of the selection rounds, aspirants can pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.
