Well even I would support Mr.Nikhlesh Mathur and would say that don't leave your teaching job as of now. First you gain the relevant knowledge about Journalism and the Media world and once you are thoroughly prepared for it, go ahead and join it.
Journalism as a career is very challenging and requires a lot of hard work and patience. To become a good journalist you need to have a good command over English, Hindi and your regional language. Apart from good English you also have to be a good listener and an interpreter, so that you are able to convey exactly what is important for the people and how will it effect them.
