I think you need some short of detail about the work of UGC
The UGC has the unique distinction of being the only grant-giving agency in the country which has been vested with two responsibilities: that of providing funds and that of coordination, determination and maintenance of standards in institutions of higher education.

From next year onwards, ISEET ( Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test ) is going to be effective for admissions into the IITs and NITs and therefore is expected to be conducted in either March or April 2013.
A candidate must score above 40 per cent in Class XII Board examination to be eligible.
Exam Pattern :
* Minimum 40% of weight-age shall be given to School Board Marks.
* Totally ISEET is divided into two categories such as ISEET Main and ISEET Advanced.
ISEET Main : is an Objective Test which is same like CAT, SAT and other exams. It is to test the student's English comprehension Logical Reasoning and Critical Thinking.
ISEET Advanced : mainly depends on School Board Syllabus and difficulty level equal to that of AIEEE. 30% weightage will be taken into consideration which was mandatory to take admission into central engineering institutions.
Syllabus Structure :
* ISEET Main consists of Comprehension, Logical Reasoning and Critical Reasoning.
* ISEET Advance consists of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Purely Objective.

Hi Roopesh ! yes you can do it ,for govt job on the basis of the GATE exam you can take the admission in the M.tech in governemnt collages, IITs collages, NITs collages.After qualify the GATE You can apply the four government companies which give the jobs on the basis of the 75% of the GATE score and 25% of the Interview.
those government companies are follows which give the jobs
BHEL,NTPC,ONGC,SAIL,GAIL,ISRO
After getting good marks in GATE examination companies call you for the interview or you can directly apply for the company job.
And after a HR Interview you can get a job.
