Being a alumni of LPU,Iwould say,With the diverse and vast set of courses available at LPU; to maintain a good overall placement record is no joke. Yet, LPU manages to pull it off. Be it the disciplines of science, commerce, arts or the courses of hospitality and hotel management; the students from all fields have procured a decent placement with an above average package. Not to forget, there have also been several cases when the students have bagged placements with a package of 1 crore.
As a general rule for placements, a lot more will depend upon your own hard work, communication & presentation skills and overall preparation. This would be true for any university you enroll in.
This year, LPU set the record in North India with the largest number i.e., 610 engineering students getting recruited by a single company, in a single day and also on a single campus. Cognizant Technologies, one of the leading IT Company visited the campus two times within a span of nine months. Apart from that, students of LPU also procured international placements by big names in the global market like Ritz Carlton Hotel USA, Qatar Airways Doha & Al Rakha Group Dubai which offered the students up to Rs 22 Lakh and also made LPU get one of the highest placement packages record in the region. There was also numerous top salary offering companies such as Practo Technologies offering packages of Rs 7 Lakh, Josh Technologies with Rs 6 Lakh, LG Soft with Rs 5.5 Lakh and many more.
Recently,Tania Arora, a fourth-year BTech CSE student of Lovely Professional University (LPU) got selected as a software engineer in Microsoft with a huge salary package of Rs 42 lakh per annum.
When it came to placement drives, there were about 200 placement drives that were made by top brands including 100+ drives for technology & science students and 60 other for business administration students. Over 2000 LPU students in disciplines like Management, IT, Engineering, Banking, Agriculture, Consultancy, Architecture, Pharmaceuticals and more got placed under these drives.
