There is no such difference. The Bachelor of Science programme in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is generally a Three-Year programme that equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality sector. The programme also involves in-depth laboratory work for students to acquire required knowledge and skills standards in the operational areas of Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Front Office Operation and House Keeping and providing managerial inputs in Hotel Accountancy, Food Safety and Quality, Human Resource Management, Facility Planning, Financial Management, Strategic Management, Tourism Marketing and Tourism Management.
On the other hand BHMCT is a four year degree program which is a premier qualification which shall make the students fully acquainted with all the aspects of the Hospitality Industry. The core subjects of BHMCT around which the entire curriculum is based are: F&B Production, F&B Service, House Keeping, Front Office. Apart from these four core subjects, the other subjects that are being taught during the four year degree course are Food Science and Nutrition, Communication, Engineering, F&B Management, Marketing Management, Accountancy, Food safety and Hygiene. It will be better for you to pursue a four year program which will allow you to study further overseas and will improve your career prospects.
