The admission to the Diploma Engineering Courses is made through the Joint Entrance Test. Candidates who qualify the JET are eligible to apply for admission to various courses being run in the affiliated institutions of the Board. The admission to these institutions will be based on the relative merit of the candidates in the JET in their respective category. All candidates desirous of applying for admission are required to submit admission application form with the requisite fee before the last date fixed for submission of the same.
Those candidates who qualify the JET can apply for the admission to various Institutions affiliated with the Board. Admission will be purely on the inter-se-merit of JET. Candidates desirous to take admission should fill up the admission form, which is included in the prospectus. ENTRY QUALIFICATION: For Diploma (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, ECE, Computer and IT): The Applicant must posses an aggregate of 55% in Mathematics and Science in 10 Std. from CBSE or its equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution. OR 12th Pass with 55% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized Board or Institutions. ITI pass outs (who passed at least 10 level school leaving examination before admission to ITI course) & 10+2 pass (Vocational stream) candidates can apply for admission to the relevant branch.

7 is too low a score to secure a seat in a government reputed college. However, you may appear for other entrance exams and secure a seat in a reputed institution.

With PCM combination of subjects, you can pursue almost any field you set your mind on. You can ofcourse do Engineering which is a professional degree and has streams such as Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic and Communication etc. You can do your graduation in subjects of your interest, even switching to Humanities or Commerce streams if you so desire. You can do a BCA (Computer Applications), BBA (Business Administration), Law, Civil Aviation – Pilot, Astronomy, Architecture, Design, Mass Communication, Merchant Navy, Defense Forces, Psychology, Civil Services etc. To decide on the course, you should analyse your strengths, career goals, interests, personality, aptitude and ability. If you decide based on these parameters you will put in your best effort and will be successful

Nagabhushan, Film Direction is better pursued through one of the underlying subjects of cinematograhy, acting or even animation or vfx. Otherwise too, There are several careers in media in writing, production or post production. you can become a reporter, actor or getting behind the camera to direct, cinematograph or do finishing work as an editor, compositor or a VFX artist who can add reality to 3D vizualizations. you may even be a graphic artist who designs the screens, or an animator who brings stories to life as a proxy actor for onscreen characters. you can get into production, whether live or animated. You can be a story writer who writes for live and animated screens or even roll the story into a video/ pc game. you can be a script writer who would stop at nothing to give wonderful scene setups to bring the story to life. you could be an artist who designs characters or who storyboards the film for live or animated performance. you can also double up as a voice over artist who gives his/ her voice to the characters or dub for movie stars, or even be a radio star. you can alternatively look at web for a web of careers in web design, online marketing, search engine optimization, content writing, social media promoting. Any extra skill can be used in this. So it turns out to be one of the most challenging as well as satisfying careers. Sure not recommended for the weak hearted. Do remember that digital design careers (e.g. web design, graphics, UI design, animation, vfx, multimedia) give better profits since they can be delivered anywhere in the world & hence may earn in dollars - resulting in better rewards for designers. This course prepares graduates for further postgraduate research degrees or employment in any variety of roles in organizations that require expert professionals who can apply computer science principles to solve problems produced by the interface between business and technology. It is more of a professional course. The admission to most colleges is based on an entrance test, the eligibility for most is 50% or above in HSC with Maths as a compulsory subject.
You can go for an MCA or you can directly apply for an M.Tech, after you complete your BCA.
You can not pursue an M.Tech directly after completing your B.Sc , You can pursue an M.Tech degree after you complete your BCA.
