Certainly it is possible to do B.Tech after doing Diploma in Computer Science Technology from JIS School of Polytechnic or any other institute. Most universities, mainly those associated with JIS Group, award lateral entry admission and diploma holders enroll directly into the third semester of a B.Tech program.
They are eligible for the B.Tech Lateral Entry.
Diploma Qualification:
Minimum 3 years' Diploma in Computer Science Technology or any related field from any recognized institution.
Minimum Marks:
Some institutions even require at least 50% – 60% aggregate marks in the particular diploma program they wish to pursue or take.

In order to pursue any journalism and mass comm course Diploma programme, you will have to first complete your education up to class 12 from a recognised board of education. You are required to score at least 45% to 50% marks in class 12 in order to be eligible for the undergraduate degree courses. However, post-graduate degree and Diploma courses require you to possess a graduation degree and Diploma respectively with at least 50% marks. Selection Criteria for Mass Communication Colleges:

For admission you need fulfill the following criterion:-
The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 1993 if belonging to the Open or OBC-NCL category and, on or after October 1, 1988 if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category. The candidate should have qualified, I.e, obtained a rank in UCEED 2018. The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2017 or 2018. There are less chances for you to get ME in NIT KKR with this rank.
The cut-off generally goes around 17k-18k. So, I don't think you can get mechanical here, but you can try for other branches such as Civil, Electrical, PIE.
