The TNEA cutoff for BE/BTECH in 2024 for general category ranges from 25357to 117381. For OC category for Computer Science and engineering  the closing rank is 80628 and for other branches and category cutoff will vary. For TANCET Cutoff for MBA for General all India category is 5648.

Candidates can get B.E./B.Tech admissions into the Kathir College of Engineering (KCE) either based on Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling or on the management quota. Yes, direct admission to Kathir College of Engineering - KCW is possible through the management quota which does not require TNEA counselling. Students can apply directly to the college for these seats but the fees are generally higher than those under the Government quota through TNEA.

Yes, KCE does offer scholarships including those based on merit and academic excellence which can even cover 100% of the tution fees . They also provide financial assistance and have tie ups with banks for educational loans for students. So yes it is possible to get 100% scholarships if you perform well in academics.

Yes, Kathir College of Engineering offers multiple scholarships. Merit-based scholarships of 100%, 50%, and 25% fee waiver are given to students scoring above 190 marks, 180 marks, and 150 marks, respectively. Sports quota scholarships are also available. The campus facilities of KCE are very nice with Well equipped laboratories, accessible and well stocked libraries, wifi availability around the campus, cctv surveillance, sports ground, separate accomodation hostel for both  boys and girls, gym, mess that serves both veg and non veg, canteen with decent food service, medical support room as well as  auditorium.

KCE offers management quota for many courses so You can get admission through Management Quota based on 10+2 marks and with no entrance exam. Students who wish to seek admission through this quota need to apply directly to the college . The fees is also higher than the usual government quota done through TNEA councelling .

The institute offers BE and B.Tech at UG level in 5 specializations. The minimum requirement for both courses is 50% marks in 10+2. Those who are willing to apply are granted admission based on the performance in the qualifying exam. However, the final seat allotment is based on the TNEA Counselling.

 

Kathir College of Engineering also provides admission in ME and MBA at PG level. Interested candidates must have a Bachelor's degree to apply in any of the courses. Admission is offered based on the TANCET score and TANCA Counselling.

The fees (in INR) for courses offered by KCE varies across different courses

  • For BE/BTech, the fees is upto 3.48 Lakhs while for B.Tech and MBA  it's 1.75 Lakhs to 2.25 Lakhs.
  • For Lateral entry the total fees for B.E is around 2.61 lakhs.
  • While for M.E./M.Tech it's 50K p.a.,
  • And MBA/PGDM- 35K p.a.
  • And for MCA it's 41k in total.
