Candidates can get B.E./B.Tech admissions into the Kathir College of Engineering (KCE) either based on Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling or on the management quota. Candidate should have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for both. The admission in TNEA is merit-based on their 12th marks and candidates requiring to provide nativity proof documentation if they have not studied in Tamil Nadu from class 8 to 12. In management quota, candidates must apply or fill in application directly to the college to be eligible for admission. After submission of their application with their 12th marks and without taking entrance exam, they will be selected based on 12th marks. Whether candidates are selected under TNEA counselling or management quota, after the rebuttal, students need to attend for document verification and pay the admission fee to confirm their seat.

To be qualified for admission into the B.E./B.Tech course in Kathir College of Engineering (KCE), applicants should have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Aspirants have two alternatives to seek admission to the B.E./B.Tech course: (1) through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions counselling - admission will be on merit list as per 10+2 PCM marks and students will require Tamil Nadu nativity documents in case you have not studied Classes 8-12 in Tamil Nadu; and (2) through management quota where admission will be accepted directly as per 10+2 PCM marks without the need for the entrance examination. In both ways of admission, the applicants would still be required to submit an online KCE application form, apply online for  allocated counselling method or given seats, undergo document verification, and pay admission charges to secure their seat.

Cultural & Fest Teams – The yearly events "Tarunaah" and "Varunaah" included drama, dance, music, arts & literature. Festivals like Pongal and Onam are also celebrated enthusiastically, with teams taking care of management of the event, anchoring, and performances. 

Sports & Fitness – The college has a gym, as well as courts for indoor and outdoor cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, kho-kho, badminton, table tennis, chess, carrom and yoga. On sports days, these are also encouraged to get students to participate. 

Technical & Innovation Clubs – There are also associations for each branch of study e.g. Software Development Club, Coding Club, Robotics Club. The clubs host hackathons and technical workshops, as well as activities relating to real time development of products. 

Social & Service Clubs – Students have the opportunity to join clubs, including, but not limited to: blood donor club, NSS, Rotaract Club, Eco-Club, etc. The clubs carry out reach programs in community, and environmental campaigns, as well as social service activities. 

Academic & Media Societies – The campus also has quiz teams, paper-presentation forum, media group, and mooting activities fostering interdisciplinary learning and creative expression.
