B.Pharma has more scope as of now as compared to Biotechnology because the job market for Bitechnologists have still not opened up. People are not much aware of the clinical research projects and the work meant specifically for Biotechnologists. Most of them end up working as microbiologists and then are unable to compete with the people who have exclusive qualification in Microbiology.

As of now and probably for the next 5 years I believe that B.Pharma still would be having larger scope than Biotechnology in India. The job market for Biotechnologists in India is quite restricted and therefore opportunities are less as compared to B.Pharma.

Dear Ninkunj,
Really its a tough question to answer. Both Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology are doing very good industry. As per my opinion better to choose Biotechnology as you can find the job in pharmaceutical, microbiology and biotechnology fields. There is a very good scope for this field. Salary depends on the companies which may start from 15K to 20K. Many MNC's will provide starting salary from 25K also.

You can make a try but to me it does not seem very easy at this RPET rank of yours. MBM Jodhpur has a good reputation in Rajasthan, particularly in civil engineering, and therefore most students aspire to get into it.

There is no graduation degree course less than 3 year so you have to complete your graduation in 3 year or 4 year if want to join b.tech again.
