PGDM expands to Post Graduate Diploma, the confusion starts when you see the term Diploma. Many students are of the view that it is a Diploma course and not a Degree; you are right to an extent that it is a Diploma. The main reason why postgraduate courses are named as PGDM is because when an Institute is an autonomous body (meaning it is not affiliated to any University) and conducts management courses then such Institutes cannot offer MBA degree. The ideal options after M.Sc Biotech are-
M.Phil or PhD
MBA in respective specialization
You should stick by your domain in order to have an added advantage in the competitive market. At the same time, it is very important that you opt for or look at doing something that you are good at and would enjoy keeping in mind your personality, aptitude, ability, strengths and career goals.
If at all, you want to switch over, go ahead and pursue a career in journalism and mass communication.
After completing their course in J&MC one can work as a copywriter, advertising professional, journalist, news anchor and a PR Officer and so on.
