If you have a rank that you can go to NIT W or NIT T then go for it.
Other option is NIT jamshedpur . Where the highest package in 2013 was 35 lpa and this year it was 69 lpa.
but remember these were off campus with some help of the institute.
Academics here is fine, as YOU want CS you will have to do your study yourself thats the only way it works.
no need to go to a private college and waste money if you can score this.

Hi Amir,
Most colleges have a different provision for admission. You need to contact the institute officials personally for specific admission details as it differs from one college to another.
We can help you with the parameters that you can keep in mind while choosing an institute among the three.
You can consider the below parameters

6) Infrastructure
7) Success Rate.
8) Placement
9) Top recruiting companies.
Also, if possible go through the alumni speak section to get an idea what the alumni thinks about the institute.

Hi Monika,
Difference Between BTech and BSc:-
B.Tech. is a professional Bachelors' degree program whereas B.Sc. is only an academic Science graduation course. B Tech stands for Bachelor of Technology whereas B.Sc. is Bachelor of Science. Since B Tech is an engineering graduation, B Tech students have to study the vast techniques involved in a particular subject. They have to study about the processes involved in designing new instruments, techniques or programs, which comes under their field of study. On the contrary, B.Sc. graduates may have to study the working principles about an instrument or a process that is included in their curri

Hi,
First of all, congratulations, for such a great performance in JEE-15.
IITJ is a great place and if you choose to come, then you will definitely enjoy your four years here.
Placements here are great for CSE, wherein almost 100% students get placed in companies of desire. Some even end up up high end packages in multinational giants such as Google, Microsoft etc.
Currently, IITJ has a temporary campus, but as per the latest info, chances are that IITJ will shift to permanent campus next year(2016)! But, even after being in temporary campus, you have all the needs you require or you would expect from an IIT.
