At present it is spread over an area of 393 acre. Currently massive construction activities are ongoing in the existing ISM campus.The main building, known as the Heritage Building, houses the departments of Mining Engineering, Applied Geology, Applied Geophysics and Electrical Engineering. Some unique features of ISM are the Geological Museum, the Seismic Observatory, a Data Processing Laboratory, the Long Wall Mine Gallery and the Remote Sensing Laboratory.
The Library is automated and provides services seven days a week, catering to more than 5500 users belonging to 17 departments and centers. The library houses 85,000 books, 8000 Ph.D. thesis and dissertations, 35,000 bound volumes of journals and 1200 digital books.
Also,in a month or two ism will host india's biggest library .
Ism has everything when we compare to new iit's but due to construction going on in the campus it may lack it's beauty.

everything can't be expressed about the campus but believe me it's a nice one also it's in the middle of city.
Not like in most of the iit's . You gonna enjoy a city life too.

Kartik, you can look at the Designer option if you like to be in creatives. If you're creative, you can always consider going for Design and Animation. This is a field where nobody cares for your qualification, they only see if you can do quality work. In fact, the University Model has not succeeded in any Skill field across the world. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in UI Design, Graphic Design, Storyboarding, Animation Design, Game Design, 3D Modelling, Texturing and Lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation (2D and 3D). Of course at the top of the pile lies Concept Designing - these people are required by Event Companies, Animation Studios, VFX Studios, and of course Game Studios. However, choosing between these must be done after seeing your performance in each of these. So going for a generic course covering all or most of these would be the best way to get started in these careers. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this (if you work hard you can improve your drawing skills tremendously).
