The University of Law in the UK has 16 campuses and accepts students from all over the world. It can be a bit competitive to get in because the acceptance rate is relatively low. However, if you have a strong academic record and the right subjects, you have a good chance to get admission at The University of Law. When deciding who to admit, the university looks at your academic performance, any portfolios you might have, your English proficiency test scores, and relevant experience.

The University of Law in the UK is a diverse place. About half of the undergraduates and 40% of the postgraduates are from Black, Asian, and other Minority Ethnic backgrounds. Most of the students, around 87.5%, are doing postgraduate programs. In total, there are over 8,000 students at the university, and about 880 of them come from other countries. That's roughly 11.1% of the students, and they come from more than 120 different countries, including India.

To be eligible for MBA course, the applicants must meet the University of Strathclyde entry requirements given below:

Academic Qualifications

• The applicants must hold a degree from a UK university, or equivalent academic qualification from a comparable non-UK institute. A degree transcript is required by the university for all those applicants who have studied their undergraduate degree at a non-UK institute. Professional qualifications are also considered
• The applicants must be 24 years of age
• A minimum of 3 years of full-time postgraduate experience is also required. The work experience should be such where management of people and resources played a significant role

Apart from the above-given entry requirements, other Strathclyde University entry requirements are given below:

• GMAT: Though GMAT is not a standard requirement for admission to MBA course, but strong verbal reasoning and numerical abilities are critical for the MBA, so the University of Strathclyde may ask the applicants to take the test
• Competence in English: IELTS with a minimum score of 6.5
• Computer Competence: The applicants must be competent in word processing, the use of spreadsheets, and in report writing

The University of Strathclyde entry requirements for Indian applicants are given below:

Undergraduate Admissions

• For entry into the undergraduate courses of Strathclyde University, students must have 70% - 75% in all subjects taken in Class 12 and Class 10
• Note that marks should be particularly strong in the proposed area of study

Postgraduate Admissions

• For entry into postgraduate programs, the University of Strathclyde looks for a first-class undergraduate degree (approx. 60%) from a recognised Indian institute
• Although, 60% is a general entry requirement for admission to postgraduate courses, the University of Strathclyde understands that the marking system in some states and national universities makes it difficult to obtain 60%, so in that case, the university accepts 55% from some universities. These universities are the University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, University of Delhi, etc.
• Also,  graduates from the IITs and IIMs are considered with marks in the region of 55%
• For admission to a research degree, in general, students must have a master’s degree and some experience in research work

Admission decision details for Undergraduate courses

• In the case of undergraduate admissions, the University of Strathclyde considers all the applications. As long as the applicants have applied by the January deadline (UCAS), the university tries to give admission decision by the End of March
• For undergraduate courses, direct applications can be made throughout the year and admission decisions are made on a rolling basis

Admission decision details for Postgraduate courses

Once students have submitted their application, they are going to receive an acknowledgement mail containing the applicant number.

• The University of Strathclyde application shall be considered by the department / school to which the applicants have applied
• Admission decisions on the application shall also be made by the respective department / school. The University of Strathclyde aims to make an admission decision as quickly as possible, usually around 10 working days (two weeks), but during busy times, this could take time

International students studying at the University of Law are required to have a tier-4 study visa, which permits international students to work up to 20 hours during their academic sessions and full-time during their vacations. Additionally, students may consider working in local cafes and restaurants near the university, especially in popular tourist areas like London and Manchester, where staff is frequently needed.
