To become a pilot, you don't have to do any course but join a Flying training school. To become pilot, minimum eligibility is 12th with physics, maths & English subjects and 16 years of age. You should be medically fit as per aviation standard. Pilot Licence is given in three stages that is PPL, SPL and CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence) by Flying training Institutes with trainer aircraft. The training includes class room studies, DGCA (Director General of Civil Aviation) conducted exams, simulated flying, dual flying (with instructor) and solo flying. For CPL, minimum 250 hours of flying is required. Later, rating for multi engine aircraft and instrument rating is required. Total cost of becoming CPL holder pilot is approximately Rs. 35 to 50 Lac.
