To start with it is advisable to complete your 12th first as it is the basic requirement to join any course or apply for job in any field.
Then you may join lateral B.Tech course and can directly enter into the second year. If you want to work alongside then you may join correspondence course.

Hello Jagjit, Normally the educational factors required to be considered are as follows:-
1. At least First Class in your Last Qualification.
2. Minimum 6.0 Bands with no less than 5.5 Bands in IELTS
Now, in your case you’ve already scored 6.0 Bands in IELTS, but if you have any module score below 5.5 Bands then I suggest you re-appear for IELTS. The reason is that according to the Latest Immigration Rules & Regulations of Australia if you have a Band Score of 6.0 Bands with any number of module(s)
Below 5.5 Bands then you’re not eligible for a Visa even though you agree to apply for an ELICOS Course.
