The basic eligibility to get admission for MA in mass communication is a Bachelor's degree in any stream of minimum 3 years duration. It is not compulsory to have a Bachelor's degree in journalism or mass communication, but it certainly gives an edge to such candidates. You are eligible to pursue your interest in mass communications.

MAT score is not accepted by K.J.SIMSR. K.J.SIMSR only accepts CAT /CMAT /XAT scores for PGDM admissions.
Last year's cut-offs are:-
CAT - 86 percentile,
CMAT - 96 percentile and
XAT - 78 percentile.

Your admission will depend on the nature of your gap period, academic profile and overall application package. You should write to few universities and e-mail them your profile. The entry requirements are different for different universities.

They don't have any fixed cutoffs and any minimum scores are decided after the completion of the application process and review of the overall applicant pool. 90+ percentile in XAT/CAT. 600+ score in GMAT would be considered suitable subject for meeting the criteria.
