SAP has a functional and a technical side to it. SAP functional requires knowledge of the business processes of a company. The technical side requires knowledge of ABAP/4 or BASIS.
There are different SAP modules. You may explore in any of the SAP module as per your interest. As you have shown interest in SAP MM I would say that SAP MM consultant works within the material management module of the SAP system. The primary responsibility is to support SAP integration, process design, evaluation, prototype, configuration, and data modeling support and provide strategic planning for SAP data integration.
A SAP MM job requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with computer science/business background. A SAP MM consultant should have a strong background with designing/developing/interfacing with SAP data targets, extractors and ASAP methodology and experience in customization of SAP MM business processes.
It is recommended that you have a few years of work experience before moving into SAP.
The courses are quite expensive. Siemens in Bangalore is the best to train yourself in SAP. Try to join in a training institute with sound placement records. Your aim would be to seek a relevant job after completing training by paying hefty fees.

For the bank PO exams the eligibility criteria is graduation from recognized university and your age should be between 21-30 years. A person can appear only thrice for a bank PO exam. Notification appears in all leading national newspapers and employment news.

To prepare for the Bank Probationary Officers entrance exam, there are a number of books and correspondence courses available. The objective type portion will have papers in reasoning, quantitive aptitude, general awareness and English. The descriptive type paper will have comprehension, analysis of situation and language ability.
For general awareness, if you read read the daily newspaper and watch news, that should do. You could also use magazines such as CSR, Competition Master, Banking service Chronicle, etc.
