Yes you can apply for this year CAT as you'll be completing your graduation in 2013. The qualification criterion that is needed for a student to apply for the Common Admission Test is a graduate degree from an approved college. The students can be from any stream, but they are required to have a score of atleast 50 percent in their final exams.
You'll be writing the exam on provisional basis, submitting 5 semesters mark sheets would be fine.
You must plan and prepare for the exam very meticulously and effectively. It is advisable to have a fixed schedule and stick onto that schedule till the exam. Start with the basics and make them very strong. You'll have to remember most of the maths formulas. As to score high marks in the DI, practice with previous years question papers. As for English, is very important to read a lot. Try to listen to English news and read news papers. This will help you to increase your GK and improve on language. You should cover the entire portion and revise more than once before the exam. Get previous years question papers and carry out your own mock test. Try to join a coaching centre or practice with friends like a group study method.
