The college timings are 9 am to 5 pm it may extend upto 7:30 pm sometimes depending upon your specialization and the visiting faculty, yes the college is strict in terms of attendance a minimum of 75% have to be maintained every semester as per University norms.

One Year and 4 hours daily is more then sufficient to prepare for the GATE. In the beigning select your weak and strong topics. Start from your strong topics as you need motivation in the beginning. So cover your strong subjects first then gradually move to the other subjects. Solve questions regularly. Be carefull while choosing the study material for the GATE. That totally depends on you and your choices of B-schools and on what are you looking for in a B-school. Comparing to the other B-schools in this level. VJIM is better with regard to curriculum, facilities and placements. VJIM fees is 3.25 lakhs for one year and the average salary package is 4.3 lakhs. So based on the return on investment VJIM is worth joining.

Its never confirmed that even 99.9 percentile students will get admission in IIM Ahmadabad. So just give the CAT exam with best preparation and then decide for college.But yes always prepare for aiming at best.

Placement were okay to good last term. With average CTC of 5.5 Lacs P.A. and a highest CTC of 12 Lacs P.A. Marketing looked very bright and opportunities brought in for marketing candidates were good here with finance filling the second position. Placement for operations and hr were dull last term.
