Dress code:
You aren't allowed inside the campus as a student, if your shirt isn't tucked in. People coming through college bus and bikes can be escaped.
Shirts with a couple of pockets aren't allowed.
Monday - Thursday formal shoes, be it black or brown and casual shoes are allowed on Fridays and Saturdays. I can't help you if you belong to mechanical or automobile department and if your labs fall on weekends as you're supposed to be in a perfect apparel. Girls are asked to pin their Dupattas, few do and few don't. They can even wear saree but I haven't witnessed anyone till date. Mobile phone:
You aren't allowed to use mobiles inside the campus, but it's okay during placement times as you'll need them so bad. It's pretty much okay to use it during class hours too, somehow make sure that you wouldn't get caught. If your department faculty gets it, never worry, they won't let you down unless you haven't been in a face to face interrogation with them, they'll give you at that day.
The campus is relatively small comparing to colleges out of Chennai. It's around 35+acres I guess. So, you have only a couple of places, but people would be around most of the times and now the college has been stricter that hourly attendances are taken. Excluding all these factors, the department that you're in, that matters a lot. If your department head is cool, you are on your own. You can be as you can. Internals would be awarded, if you perform well, sometimes if you butter up your words. Coaching classes are must if you fail in your internals and that goes from 4 pm -5 pm.
