The BTech in Food Technology course got discontinued in January 2023. The candidates can opt for various other specialisations offered under the BTech course. The eligibility criteria to apply for the BTech is Class 12 with a minimum of 45 percent and 50 percent aggregate. Theoretically speaking, both are similar courses. Proportion of placements vis-a-vis pass out is similar in both branches. However in India core jobs for aeronautical engineering graduates are very less. They changeover to software or do MBA or go abroad. They are not employable on main of civil aircraft since it requires DGCA license. I would therefore rec mechanical engineering as compared with aeronautical engineering.

For job possibilities and to know, if your degree is in demand or not you should refer to the immigration website. It has a list of skilled occupations in demand. You may not find international business management specifically but relevant jobs will be found.
