Hello,
UGC NET is conducted twice in a year in the month of June and December. The basic eligibility to appear in this exam is, an aspirant should have completed their Masters' or is in the final year of their Post-Graduation. As you are from the Statistics background, you can choose any of the subjects either UGC NET Commerce or CSIR NET in Mathematical Science. Here's the criteria of who can apply and how.
Eligibility: candidates should pass B.Sc Maths or basic Maths and computer applications or any other degree of any university as equivalent.
Minimum 60% is desirable for admission. Admission is generally on the basis of Mark's and entrance test specific for certain universities. All the best.

For IPMAT you must be very comfortable with NCERT Maths. It forms the basis for all the concepts which we learn and practice from other sources. Meanwhile, you can start reading News dailies, Magazines to strengthen your English grammar. Though, I won't recommend any particular source, you can refer to content available on online stores. I would suggest if you want to pursue PGDM in finance and marketing then prefer GL Bajaj, because apart from course they have providing so many exposure or certification course which is very helpful for our future. If you want to go in the field of teaching, then you should opt for M.Com, but in coming year Ph.D is required for teaching in universities, so you must have to do that as well.
