As Shiksha is an Education portal which gives guidance to the students regarding their career and education options, you would not find much information on such queries.
However, just for your information Magnet does loose its power but only in certain circumstances, such as Heat Radiation, Strong electrical currents in close proximity to the magnet, other magnets in close proximity to the magnet etc.

Hi Vikash, the min Qualification to get admission in NIT Hamirpur is 60%, which u have easily cleared. But to get an admission, u have to appear in AIEEE exam and based on the rank u get, seats nd branch will be allotted. This year AIEEE is already done, Hope it went fine for u.

For IAS /IPS one needs to give UPSC exam. The notification for this usually comes in Feb and one needs to apply till about mid of march. The prelims are held in May or June. You may target 2012 exam if your are a graduate and in the age bracket of 21 to 30 years. If you get through the prelims you need to appear in the Mains which is usually held in Oct or Nov and if you stand in merit there you need to clear the Interview.
