National Testing Agency has decided some guidelines for aspirants who want to appear for UGC NET exam. One of these guidelines states that candidates can apply for exam with their post-graduation subject or related to that subject. According to this you can appear in UGC NET with Management subject not for Home Science. As NTA has started the UGC NET 2020 application form process - from 15th March 2020 and it will be continued till 30th June 2020. So, if you want to apply then this is an outstanding opportunity to make your future bright in the field of Lectureship and Research. But before applying make sure you fulfill other eligibility criteria as well. I'm sharing the criteria below -
Candidate must have a master's degree with minimum 55% (For General) or 50% (For OBC/SC/ST/PwD/Transgenders) of marks without rounding off. For UGC NET Junior Research Fellowship, they also have to fulfill the age criteria I. e. as follow -
For General - 30 Years Maximum Age
For OBC/SC/ST/PwD/Women/Transgenders - 5 Years Relaxation in maximum age criteria. Hope this answer will help you. All the Best!

Hence first selection should be of a good college which is of repute so that it can give the best academic excellence in the form of best faculty who are there to help you. Added to this, well-equipped labs and library. Exposure of the students to the world market and a wide platform for the student to deal with the world level activities is a must. Check the websites of some good universities and check their academic excellence to decide your college. Like Shri Ram College of Commerce, Hansraj College, LPU etc. The college academics and the scholarships too must be checked. LPU is offering additional scholarships as an aid for COVID. The cut off for 2020 has yet to be declared but the best for you would be to check their website for the cutoffs of the previous year to give you a fair idea of your status. Also as an alternative log in to some other equally good universities which also offer good academics in the form of good faculty, infrastructure, live projects, seminars, exposure, platform, scholarships, placements etc. Exposure of the students to the world market and a wide platform for the student to deal with the world level activities is a must. So browse for other good colleges as the seat for the stream you desire might not be available for your cut off. Moreover the refund policies would allow you to take back your admission with minimum cuts, but at least you will be able to pursue a career of your choice. Think wisely and book your seat as they are filling fast due to online admissions. All the Best.
