Aerospace Engineering is a good option for girls also. By the way Kalpana Chawla was an Indo-American astronaut and the first woman of Indian origin in space. She was an aeronautical Engineer. There are lots of good career opportunities on completion of Aeronautical or Aerospace engineering. You can join DRDO/ ISRO/ Aviation manufacturing or its ancillary units/ Airlines/ Air Force/ Educational Institutes/ R&D Units / IT etc.
