While I truly agree with a point that Srithan Savela mentioned regarding companies such as TCS, Wipro offering a meagre amount of 3 - 3.5 LPA. This is because these companies are mostly service based companies, and most of these companies hardly hire hardcore developers - so if your looking for good package and a great developer career you should GET into product based startups, although they do not offer as great packages such as Google but they make sure you GET paid based on the current industry standards. Now let me give few details about product based companies:
You GET a good package even as a fresher, because they value your skills for them money is not a concern but hiring the right talent is. There are chances you GET to work with new technologies. You will be mostly surrounded with some real great talents, this also contributes a lot towards your career growth. Mostly teams in such companies are smaller, this gives you an opportunity where your work is regarded. The growth curve is better, there is no favoritism since most of them are required to come up with results. I have not included big giants such as Amazon, Microsoft or Google since most of these companies hire through campus recruitment and prefer tier 1 colleges such as IIT or NIT, and through coding competitions hosted by them. Plus apart from the two options, people who make it through Google are the ones with many years of experience and who are exceptionally great at problem solving and coding. At a product based startup, a fresher front-end developer makes around 45 LPA, a back-end developer around 56 LPA and a Full (MEAN) Stack developer makes around 67 LPA. But remember one thing, most of these companies look to hire candidates who are great with their coding skills plus the ones who have knowledge in the newer technologies. However, please also note in no way I am trying to compare both the companies here (service based & product based), it all depends on ones interest. If a person is looking to make a career in hardcore development then he could always shift towards product based. However, if he is seeking for a career with more of soft skills and less of codi.

I have seen people being 35 and still cracking GMAT to get into Stanford GSB. And you are just 18. Look for your current career prospectives. Complete your graduation with a good percentage. Build your resume am enough to stand out and to note building resumes means not just anything but things such sun help you to stand in a clear apart and would help highlighting the same in your profile. Then try to analyse why are you willing to give GMAT. The ifs and buts to follow. And for MBA in Harvard alike you need to have a minimum work experience of about 5yrs+. So you have got a lot of time in hand. Preparation hardly takes 6 months if you are dedicated enough. So time won't be a factor for you. Stay focused and stay blessed.
