The application process must ideally start a year ahead before the intakes. Fall intake in the USA starts typically during August or September. And hence you should by now have started the process if you are targeting 2018. For UG studies, you must take SAT or ACT and TOEFL. If your base stream is commerce, then B.Com and considering qualifications like ICWA and CA are very good.
If it is the sciences, then engineering or medical, solely depends on your interest and skill set.
