Hi Mohsin, journalism is a field that is worth working. It is one of the most prestigious careers one can get today. This is mostly due to the fact that a career in journalism can be challenging as well as highly rewarding.
To be eligible, the minimum requirement in Post graduate course is a Bachelor degree in journalism. Some institutes also provide one year certificate courses in journalism for which eligibility is 10+2.

Admission to this course is done through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) every year.
The process starts in January and is basically a three tier selection process of
· Common Entrance Test (MH-CET)
· Group Discussion (GD)
· Personal Interview (PI)
CET is a multiple-choice objective test evaluating the aptitude of the student in various areas like verbal ability, quantitative aptitude, logic, visual reasoning, reading comprehension and data interpretation.
Test is followed by a GD and PI round which carry a significant weightage in the entire selection process.
MBA CET will be conducted on 11/03/2012.
The Outside Maharashtra candidates (OMH) who have taken CAT-2011 and those who are going to take CMAT-2012 and want to compete for all India quota seats for MBA (under Maharashtra CET ) have to fill the online MBA CET application. For this they need to purchase the application kit from Axis bank. But it is not necessary for OMH candidates to appear for CET. If they appear for CET the better of the two scores will be considered.
