PGDM and MBA are similar courses. Some private institutes offer PGDM while institutes under state universities offer MBA. The big difference is in fees. PGDM has higher fees than MBA but quality of PGDM is great it has better industry and practical exposure.

To get a call, you don't need experience. Calls at IIMs are generally given on the basis of CAT percentile and scores in 10, 12 and graduation. IIM-C focusses more on your score in CAT. In order to convert your call and make it, you need a balanced scorecard which involves your GDPI performance, work experience and extra curricular activities. Though there are several freshers at IIM-C too but with work experience, you can make the cut inspire of lower scores in other parameters. Also, work experience helps you with shortlists during summer and final placement.

Yes, you are absolutely right. Nowadays there are so many students pursuing engineering courses, you should surely go for courses other than this to stand out of the crowd. E.g. - hotel management, BBA fashion designing, etc. I am attaching a link for you to have a better idea:

Hi Meena,
Do not panic. You still have ample amount of time left to prepare well. It is suggested to download and go through the last year papers well. Understand the pattern and dwell your understanding on the repeated topics like type of paintings, general questions, perspectives, etc. Pick the topics and study them well from Internet. This is the best way to cover all the topics in less time.
