Be clear that. engineering is not the only way for becoming scientist. Develop some subject of interest.
If it is commerce, economics or business, you can go towards IIMs, DSE, MDS etc.
If it is science or mathematics, IISERs, NISER, IMSc, HBNI, IITs etc.
If it is engg, IITs, NITS, DTU, AU,OU etc.
