Hi, there is absolutely nothing wrong in taking admission abroad. The only thing is the hassle you will have to face in clearing AMC MCQ exams. The long duration of knowing the results and then only you will be able to apply for MD in Australia and practise later on.
You need to register with Australian Medical Council to be able to practise in Australia. First of all you will have to send all your documents to be assessed if you eligible to sit for the registration exam or not. You can find out if your univ is registered by referring to World Health Organization (WHO) publication World Directory of Medical Schools, in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED) of the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER), or in other publications approved by the AMC.

Hi R S Berwal, University of Auckland offers a PhD in Optometry. It is one of the finest Unviersities in Nz and has a reputation outside Nz as well. Its a well known and one of the top universities.
As you may need to apply to more than one univ for a PhD course the following process may come handy. To pursue PhD you need to first prepare your research proposal and send it to the university. The research proposal must include a summary of the proposal and then the proposal in detail. You need to write the topic, reason for doing research, how the research will be beneficial to the community and the university, what is the different thing you are doing that hasn't been undertaken earlier. Also, include how you will progress during the research and the duration you might need to achieve the milestones you have set. If the university accepts your proposal you will be asked to send in your documents after which you will get the offer letter. Then meeting all the requirements you can begin with the visa process. To approach a University you must contact the dean or the professor at the University and ask them if there is any research going on. Because its always not mentioned on the University's website whether the research in your field of interest is going on or not.
Also, the PhD in Nz is offered at home tuition rate so there are no scholarships. The cost of PhD comes to only INR 1.5 lacs per annum with a living expense of INR 3.5 lacs per annum.
