NIT-Warangal, both ECE & civil are core branches. Civil branch is good only at IITs, NITs and very good reputed government institutes. ECE branch is good at IITs, NITs, reputed government & private institutes. There are very fewer electronics industries in India. Most of ECE graduates placed in IT indrustrees. There is a very big market for civil engineers. A large no. of government jobs are available for civil graduates.

I would Suggest to go for NIT Silchar for mechanical or even Agartala is also better option among all as per my view as NIT - Agartala and NIT- Silchar have a good placement as per last 3year track record. And thus, the question for your answer is Silchar NIT is best for Mechanical as per view.

Admission in IGNOU is granted on the basis of marks in the last qualifying degree. University's admission committee releases the merit list as per the marks in UG degree. Shortlisted candidates have to report at the respective Regional or Study centre of the university with all the required documents.
