Yes, you can apply for a Diploma course after your 10th when you have a two-year gap. Most colleges and Polytechnic institutes in India admit students once they have taken a gap after their 10th grade, so long as you fulfill basic eligibility (to have passed 10th from a recognised board), we don't think the gap would be an issue if you meet the eligibility to apply for Diploma courses.

But you need to keep a few important things in mind.

Gap Certificate: Usually, most colleges would require you to provide a document, called a "Gap Certificate" or "affidavit", for example, a document to explain your gap period. Mandatory Notary attested document to explain the gap that formalizes it (for personal, health care, examination preparation, etc.).

Age Limit: In the majority of the college states, and states, there are no set Date of Birth (age) limitations for Diploma admissions, so just clarify if the institute has placed finger on your age eligibility.

Admission: For majority of Colleges it would either be based on 10th marks or Diploma/polytechnic entrance tests (DET, CET, etc.) based on the state or institute admission process.

Institute Policies: A minority of colleges have their own college gap study procedures, so before applying, review or call and confirm your eligibility if its not in their prospectus.

1. Government MBBS Colleges (AIQ & State Quota)
With a rank of 50,000 in the All India Quota (AIQ), getting a seat in the top government medical colleges is close to impossible, especially for General category applicants. In most states, a state government MBBS closing rank through AIQ is typically at least 20,000-30,000 or lower for General category applicants. Possibly, if you are from a reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), some of the far-flung colleges may stretch further, but a rank of 50,000 for a normal government MBBS seat is unlikely even then. 

State quota seats (85%) tend to cutoff a little higher than AIQ, however, for General/OBC applicants from heavily populated states and territories, rarely there are cutoffs for government college seats through state quota above 45,000-50,000.

In general, B.Sc. in Nursing after MLT (Vocational) is possible in Hyderabad, although a typical course can be a "Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing" which is possible only after the completion of MLT (Vocational).
