As rightly said by yeseducation even 99.9 percentile can not guarantee you high salary package moreover, more than the institute or percentile you get, it would depend on your own capabilities, how you perform on the programme and how you use the knowledge earned at the time of placements. I can second his opinion as one of my cousins who got 98.8 percentile and got admission in IIM Indore his first package which he got was of 9 Lakhs. So, what would matter is your hard work and perseverance rest will follow.

Well Cyber Security is one of the most important as the data thefts, malicious activities are a common activities taking place. This needs to be stopped and this can happen only if we protect our systems.
Your friend can take up some network security certification courses from the ones like Cisco, Microsoft etc.
