Hi Abhimanyu,
As we know that the Acoustical engineering is where a lot of knowledge goes in Sounds and vibration, getting this as a specialized course in Engineering could be a rare possibility but you can try for courses in Audio engineering from a few institutes.
Getting this as a career is more beneficial in the west, like in Britain there is Institute of Acoustics and in America there is a Acoustical Society of America
In India you will be able to get some courses related to sound/ audio recording which might not provide the in depth education as required.

Institute of Town Planners is the only well known institutes for this purpose and it is situated in New Delhi; Also you can refer to College of Engineering Pune as it offers M.Tech in town planning but as a regular course.
Providing institutes in south that too with courses in correspondence is quite a task as most of such courses include a lot of practical classes making it difficult to be carried out through correspondence.

There are not many options available so to pursue a degree in Music at the graduate level in Punjab, but you can refer to the following two universities:
Punjabi University
Guru Nanak Dev University
The two offer B.A. Music course and for more information, you will require to contact the Universities directly.
