Hi,
Management quota is a way to get admission in a college by paying huge amount of money even if you are not eligible to get a seat there. People with more money tend to admit their wards in reputed institutions by paying a lot of money. It will be around 4-6 lakhs per annum or even more. But the regular fee of the college could be only 1- 2 LPA.
It also happens in some colleges where even if you have written their entrance exam and got a low rank which is not enough for admission.
I think only private colleges/universities have this way. Mostly government will not have and the highly reputed institutions like IITs, NITs, etc. also do

A minimum 60% in 10+2 ( English and PCM) is required to be eligible for marine engineering. And these are the entrances you must take to pursue marine engineering-
AIEEE:All India Engineering Entrance Examination
MERI:Marine Engineering and Research Institute entrance exams
JEE: Joint Entrance Examination
IMU CET: Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test

Sorry to say but your rank is too high. So, there is no way to get admission in YMCA with 86000 rank unless you have any reservation.
You may get admission in any private college on the basis of 12th percentage.

If you are interested to join MBA courses and want to make your future in management then you should think and analyze and search that which MBA stream is required in market which means you should go for that course which is most required in academic, professional and job field that presently MBA is mostly required in Banking and Finance for banking jobs in both private and government sectors but there is almost no stream for you better than MBA in Agribusiness management and when you are from science stream then you must go for agriculture and you may make your career brighter in future.

In Mumbai you can take admissions mainly through MH CET. You can have direct admissions in some colleges like Rizvi Law College, Mumbai. You can try for some private colleges in places nearby as well.

There is no difference between MBA and MMS degrees. There is only nomenclature difference between both the degrees. Syllabus of both the degrees are same. In India traditional post graduation degree in management is MBA. Some universities offer MMS to create and maintain unique brand image. Acceptance of both MBA and MMS is same in job market and for higher studies in India and Foreign universities.
