no. i dont think so. a little problem comes only when merit is made. usually students with correspondence studies have less percentage of marks on their report cards as compared to regular students.

Hi,
University of Pune as State Agency conducts a State Eligibility Test (SET) for determining eligibility of candidates for recruitment as Lecturer in Universities and affiliated Colleges in Maharashtra.
Candidates are required to clear NET of UGC or SET of Government of Maharashtra or SLET of any State Agency accredited by UGC.
To apply for the above, you need to complete your Post Graduation Degree course with Minimum 55% marks from a recognised University.
The examination is held once a year in the month of November.

u should b best in 12th marks in PCM.get some govt college.in high rank.persue B.Tech with agg. marks of more tha 80%.nd also ur presentation skill must b best.than u can get approx 3.7 or 4 lakh package.! nd if u LAKHS in ONE.then u can also get more than ur requirement.but remember.companies pay to d desire person.IF U R then definitely u'll get.GUDLUCK.!hope for ur best.

Thanks @aniket. Genetic engineering is entirely different compared to bio-informatics. First one being more inclined towards core biology and deeper understanding of medical science. The second aspect is core dilution or core strengthening. I would suggest you to strengthen your core by opting Ph.D in bioinformatic it self.
