Yes, It is a very important criteria for Colleges. Every colleges sets it's criteria of Admission like NIT, IIT and other government colleges need 75% in 12th. Also, your 12th marks is asked by recruiters while placements.

Yes, you can get admisssion.
This are the eligliblity certeria.
For admission to MA English, candidates who hold Graduation Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks or have BA Degree in Elective English with at least 45% marks are considered eligible. Candidates with B.Com, BBA or equivalent degree are eligible to get admission in M.Com program.

Hi Poojal, All DU colleges have good faculty. So there should not be any comparison for the courses. But Popularity of the Colleges are very important - I think Kamla Nehru is much better than SD College.

Hi Sandeep, BHU is an old and reputed University, so obviously has a big brand value which adds to your profile. If you are getting Government college through your UPTU rank then I will suggest go and catch that opportunity and don't even think about B.Sc. But If you have low rank in UPTU then you should opt BHU because in BHU you will get to know lots of things and research oriented knowledge by which you can perceive your career as researcher, teacher. Chemistry department of BHU is one of the most famous Chemistry department of India. Rethink on this and then decide.

All the branches are best, but it is depends upon your interest every branch has its own scope. If you are interested in computer field then go for case/it. For electronic go for EC/ex for mechanical for physics.
